Dictionary of Simple English App Reviews

Im a Japanese high school student. My teacher told me to use this app. Its more useful than Japanese-English dictionary!

I dont need to use dictionary books any more.

Downloaded it to see if it would be good for my 5-year-old son. Looked up the word "bird" at random and I got three definitions: 1) the animal, 2) the hand gesture, 3) and the male member. Seriously??

Simply the best of all the free Dictionary app!!! We all use it, not only the kids!!!good Offline features and has never disappointed us.

This app is really helpful. It contains words which can not be found on a regular dictionary, easy to use, I loved it.

I installed this app to help my second grader with her spelling definitions. It stated this was rated for ages 4+ and is "safe for kids." Quite the opposite. Looking up the word beg will give an example sentence stating someone begged for their life after having a gun held to that persons head. Im furious.

This app was helpful, but the ads were highly inappropriate. One included a seductive woman with the camera panning near her crotch. Seriously?! Monitor your advertisers!

This dictionary is not just for kids. It is great and has audio for proper pronunciation.

Synonyms: the finger and middle finger While I was driving along the highway, someone turned into my lane suddenly, nearly causing an accident. I immediately gave him the bird to show my anger. ( Asian ) ( slang ) A bird is a penis. Are you kidding me??? This app is definitely rated wrong when it says 4+! Those 2 definitions shouldnt even be in your dictionary!

Amazing dictionary app, I am using and I completely recommend this application.

I just dont like it. It doesnt even have pictures! Such boring.

Ive been looking for a a kids dictionary and this app works great. I really like the flow of how some words are derived into something else and helps my 4th grader to quickly lookup that word also, all within the same "page". The sentence "helper" is a real boon, since my kid has a difficult time making up a sentence after reading a definition. Keep up the great work!
